TISCO Touched Off Upgrading of Silicon Steel Cold Continuous Rolling Line

Flags fluttering, salutes thundering, drums roaring, on the morning of Oct 27 and by the construction site to the west of HSM building of TISCO, Chairman Li Xiaobo announced the opening of silicon steel cold continuous rolling line upgrading project of TISCO.
With the presence of TISCO management team of Yang Haigui, Gao Xiangming, Liu Fuxing, Hou Jinping, Wang Xinping, Han Ruiping, Wang Jiguang, Han Zhentang, Peng Cungen, Xie Li, Wang Baidong, Yang Guilong, deputy directors and the representatives from Project Office of Silicon Steel Cold Continuous Rolling Line and the units of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited Company, China First Heavy Industries, China MCC5 Group Corp. Ltd., SISCCO, Shanxi Zhenyi Project Construction Inspection Co., Ltd. the moment of joy and pride were witnessed together.
Liu Fuxing, GM of TISCO Stainless presided the opening ceremony of the project.
In accompaniment with Liu, addresses were also made to show their echo by Xiao Bai, GM of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited Company, Wu Shengfu, GM & Chairman of China First Heavy Industries, Cheng Bingqiang, Chairman and CPC Secretary of China MCC5 Group Corp. Ltd., Zhang Manrong, Chairman and GM of SISCCO.
Gao Xiangming, GM of TISCO made an encouraging speech. On behalf of TISCO, Mr.Gao showed his hearty gratitude to all those people who had devoted in preparation for the project, an those units which had participated in design, manufacture, construction and supervision of the project. Gao said, at its of transformational leapfrog development stage of the 12th Five Year Plan, TISCO had made the project one of the key strategic acts for transformational leapfrog development, product mix adjustment and silicon steel industry reinforcement. Being one of the major projects of Shanxi Province for industrial restructuring, the project has been attached with great importance by the CPC committee and government of Shanxi, thus it has to be implemented with high sense of responsibility, strict control of quality, optimized and scientific design, high efficiency and strong confidence, in the principle of Better Quality, Faster Speed and Decent Economy, and under the guidance of sound organization structure and proper leading system & mechanism, in addition to swift efficiency. In terms of equipment manufacture and project construction, care, attention and process control has to be made in the bid for perfect. All those ones breaching regulation or design must be totally Redone. Don’t forget the construction has to be carried out in the civilized manner. In one word, all units involved in design, manufacture, construction and supervision are expected to play their parts and play it well, for the purpose of building it a gold medal winner of national outstanding project.
Wang Quan of Project Office manager outline the project basic facts. The project will invest 3.8 BRMB to reach the designed capacity of 1 Mt, and to cater the domestic market demand for high end choice cold rolled silicon steel with special features. Comprising 11 lines of 1 for acid pickling, 4 for annealing & coating, 4 for cutting and 2 for packaging, the project will be supplied with utilities such as acid regeneration, water treatment, high & low voltage substation, inspection & lab, etc. The mature and advanced processes and equipments applied will help to overcome the silicon slag clog, edge drop, etc, reduce roll consumption of the line, control thickness of the coating and improve quality of the surface coating. The forecasted single trial will be done by the end of Dec 2013, while the heat load trial will be in Apr 2014.
