TISCO Ferritic Stainless Steel Cold Rolled Sheet Won “Extra-best Quality Award”

In the past few days, China Iron and Steel Industry Association announced Assessment Outcome of 2012 Annual Metallurgical Product Physical Quality, and Expert Appraisal Committee firmly affirmed that：TISCO ferritic stainless steel cold rolled plate and sheet and strip, austenitic stainless steel cold rolled sheet and strip, stainless steel wire rod, steel strip for welding gas cylinder, hot forged die steel, seamless steel tube for high pressure boiler were all awarded with “Gold Cup”, of which ferritic stainless steel cold rolled sheet and strip won “Extra-best Quality Award”due to its special product characterization.
This is an activity of metallurgical product physical quality, sponsored and organized by China Iron and Steel Industry Association, and its product quality is required to be up to the physical quality of international like product (Gold Cup Quality), a kind of quality activity to assess and nurture domestic iron and steel flag ship product. This year, in order to strengthen and standardize the quality benchmarking and product physical quality evaluation, China Iron and Steel Association revised and improved the management method and the rules for implementation of product assessment according to the requirement of national quality brand in conjunction with the recent declaration and reviewing for“Gold Cup”products. Simultaneously, China Iron and Steel Industry Association will decline to assess those iron and steel products which are not in conformity with the product development trend or of inferior quality grade and tiny market share based upon the progress circumstances of iron and steel products.
In 2012, China Iron and Steel Association asked some enterprises to declare their products and 133 items of metallurgical products submitted from tens of enterprises have been checked and awarded with “Gold Cup” by means of preliminary examination and site inspection，of which TISCO’s 6 products are listed on the roll. Only 6 domestic products are awarded with “Extra-best Quality Prize” and TISCO’s ferritic stainless steel cold rolled sheet and strip ranks in the honor roll.
