Five-Step Progress of TISCO Energy Resources and Environmental Protection Index within Five Years

In the past five years starting from 17th Party Congress to 18th Party Congress, TISCO’s index of energy resources and environmental protection was making progress and enterprise competitive power was further more upgraded,which became an epitome of scientific development of iron and steel enterprises.
      
In the past five years(2007~2011),the index of TISCO energy resources and environmental protection had realized one progress within one year and comprehensive energy consumption/ton steel fallen by 5.6%, and fresh water consumption/ton steel reduced by 65.1%, smoke and dust emissions/ton steel went down by 37.7%, sulfur dioxide emissions/ton steel cut 74.1% and chemical oxygen demand (COD) declined by 32.5%.
      
Within this period, the new stainless steel project was put into operation and capacity of stainless steel ranked from the 8th to be leaped into the No. One in the world, and total steel output had reached by 10 million tons and the capacity of stainless steel broke through 3 million tons for the first time. The energy comprehensive utilization and environmental protection had been both enhanced through equipment and installation upgrading and management improvement. In the former three quarters of 2012, the scheduled objective of consumption of comprehensive energy/ton steel and consumption of fresh water/ton steel had been achieved. According to the statistics and analysis report from Energy and Environmental Protection Dept, the comprehensive energy consumption/ton steel in  2012 obtained by 540kgce/t,declined by 32.2kgce/t in 2007; the consumption of fresh water/ton steel was 1.45t/t,down by 2.71t/t in 2007, continuing to keep the leading level of same industry. Meanwhile, several indexes of environmental protection were in good control, and the energy conservation units and technology such as active carbon desulphurization and de-nitration, gas-steam combined cycle power generation, blast furnace dry de-dusting, CDQ (coke dry quenching) kept on with their powerful function,and with smoke and dust emissions/ton steel being cut by 0.38kg/t, sulfur dioxide emissions/ton steel by 0.5kg/t and COD/ton steel by 0.027kg/t and nitrogen oxides emission/ton steel by 1.41kg/t.
      
At present, a large amount of technology of energy conservation and carbon reduction emission and advanced production process had brought into greater play in our company such as CDQ, desulphurization and acid making with coke oven gas, blast furnace top gas pressure recovery turbine (TRT) power generation,       gas steam combined cycle power generation (CCPP), saturated waste heat steam power generation, urban sewage recycling project,     hydrochloric acid regeneration project, fly-ash comprehensive utilization project, steel slag comprehensive utilization project, converter dry de-dusting, blast furnace double preheating technology, reheating furnace accumulator burning technology, phenol cyanogen waste water disposed of with active bio-enzyme, slag super-fines comprehensive utilization project, sintering exhaust gas desulphurization and acid making technology, sintering machine  circulation and cooling waste heat recovery, steam condensate water recovery etc., and all these new environmental protection projects enabled to have waste heat, complementary energy, water resources circulation, atmosphere pollution and solid wastes resources fully and completely reutilized, formulating an integrated economic     industry chain of solid, liquid and gaseous circulation reutilization, and enterprise interior small circulation had been expanded into social big circulation and energy conservation and emission reduction benefited the entire city.
      
Furthermore, strict and scientific management is to ensure the sustainable progress of technical indexes. TISCO energy management includes energy index management economic responsibility system check, and the index of energy consumption for every production works is based upon planning management, responsibility must be fulfilled step by step by means of international advanced benchmarking to improve the process of energy conservation and gradually reduce the energy consumption of each procedure.
