TISCO was awarded ”China Grand Award for Industry”

The third awards ceremony of China Grand Awards for Industry was hold in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 17th May. TISCO was awarded “China Grand Awards for Industry”, known as Oscar award in China industry.
Xu Kuangdi, Vice-chairman of the 10th CPPCC, attended the conference. Li Yizhong, the President of China Federation of Industrial Economics and the Director of Selection Committee of China Grand Awards for Industry, made a speech entitled “to increase economic efficiency by improvement of quality and transformation and upgrading, make efforts to basically realize the industrialization in 2020.” Li Xiaobo, the Chairman of TISCO, accepted the honor on behalf of TISCO.
China Grand Awards for Industry is approved by the State council, is the highest award set up by China's industrial sector, which recognizes the industrial enterprises and projects that insist on scientific development view; take the road of new industrialization with Chinese characteristics; represent the orientation, road and spirit of our industrialization and the highest level in the industrial development; and have made great contributions for enhancing the comprehensive national strength and promoting the development of national economy. China Grand Awards for Industry include three levels of awards: “China Grand Awards for Industry”, “Award of Recognition of China Grand Awards for Industry” and “Award Nomination of the China Grand Awards for Industry”. The awards are organized and executed by China Federation of Industrial Economics and 12 national industry associations, selected and commended at every 3 years.
41 enterprises and 24 projects were appraised and selected in this year. 11 enterprises, including Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., Haier Group Corporation, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., and 4 projects, including the “Jiaolong” manned submersibles project of the China Ship Scientific Research Center of CSIC, the Qinghai-Tibet Power Grid Project of State Grid Corporation of China etc were awarded “China Grand Awards for Industry.” 14 enterprises and 9 projects, including Qingdao Beer Co., Ltd, Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd etc and 9 projects were awarded the Award of Recognition of China Grand Awards for Industry; 16 enterprises and 11 projects were awarded the Award Nomination of the China Grand Awards for Industry.
The conference highly appraised the award winners: these excellent enterprises focus on the implementation of innovation-driven strategy, rely on independent innovation, have independent intellectual property rights for key core technologies, play exemplary and leading role in guiding the healthy development of the industries, further promote the integration of informationization with industrialization of enterprises, boost the upgrading and updating of products, promote the international competence of the national industry economy; transform vigorously the development mode, improve the development quality and efficiency, make enterprises transform into the endogenous growth, intensive and efficiency, resource saving and environment friendly mode; actively fulfils its corporate social responsibilities, create value, make contribution to the society, demonstrates the core Socialist values and is a flag that China enterprises take the new road to industrialization.
In recent years, TISCO always insists on high standard development and benchmarking, focus on the development of stainless steel-based special steels, built itself into the largest stainless steel producer with the internationally advanced technologies and equipment and the most complete grades and specifications. For four consecutive years, TISCO’s stainless steel output and the market share maintain the first in the global. With the implementation of the most complex system of informatization construction projects in the metallurgical industry, TISCO promoted the integration of industrialization with informationization and its IT system covered the whole production processes and businesses, leading the development trend of stainless steel industry and had become an outstanding representative Chinese national stainless steel industry and the benchmarking enterprises of the global steel industry
TISCO advocated innovation idea of “feel happy when made innovation, pioneer the use of the advanced technology, occupy the market by new products”. TISCO adhered to the scientific and technological innovation and the management innovation, developed a large number of internationally advanced key core technologies for stainless steel processes and products exclusive with independent intellectual property rights, which promoted the stainless steel industry technology progress. TISCO focused on the development of advanced stainless steel products, which promoted the development of national stainless steel industry. "TG" brand stainless steel products had won the title of "The Most Influential Brand in China Stainless Steel Industry.
TISCO adhered to green development and made efforts to construct a respected green urban type steel plant with responsibility and creating value. By independently integrating the internationally advanced circular economy technology, TISCO took the lead in establishing the new energy-saving & emission-reducing mode throughout the whole process in the metallurgical industry. TISCO has built the solid, liquid, gaseous wastes recycling economy industrial chain with "low energy consumption, low pollution, low emission, high efficiency", and recycled the industrial solid waste and liquid waste by 100%. TISCO had become China's urban type steel model of green development. TISCO actively fulfilled its CSR and accelerated the transformation from the small cycles inside the enterprise to social big cycle, solving the problem in the development of steel plant in the city.
It was said that “Development and application of TISCO stainless steel” was awarded "the Award of Recognition of China Grand Awards for Industry" in 2011.
