TISCO Entitled “Global Compact China Best Practices”

At the awarding ceremony of “Global Compact China Best Practices” held recently in Beijing, TISCO was entitled the honor for a successive third year with its practice of “protecting employees’ rights and interests and establishing a harmonious enterprise”.
In recent years, the activities carried out by TISCO in terms of social responsibility management, environmental protection, employees’ rights protection and etc. are highly commented by the Global Compact Organization of UN. The work involved in protection of employees’ rights and interests is featured with multi-levels, big diversity, and wide range. Based on a principle which is complied with spirit of Global Compact, featured with Chinese characteristics, social influence and social value, TISCO strictly implements the laws and regulations. The company accomplishes related systems and mechanisms, signs the labor contract with every and each worker, safeguards the rights and obligations of employees, and applies special work protections to female workers. The company spontaneously and timely publishes company affairs; pushes forward the workers democratic management with kinds of methods and platforms like internet publication, staff representative patrol and other measures. The company sets a day regularly to listen to public opinion face-to-face, answer workers puzzles and solve their problems; it sets a “listening online” column in its gate website to collect public opinions and ideas, and use it as a bridge to improve livelihood of its employees. All the practices in protecting rights and interests of employees reflect the well-implemented mechanisms and consummate systems. Those practices play significant roles in promoting harmonious development and elevating the company force and competiveness.
The UN Global Compact Organization, as the most important platform in global social commitment, calls for ten principles in terms of human rights, labors, environments and etc. Those principles are deemed as guide lines by conscientious companies in the world. TISCO joined in the organization in 2012. The company’s practices of “issuing green development manual and carrying out green development culture” and “public bicycle in TISCO to promote low carbon and ecological civilization” were awarded in 2012 and 2013.
