Scientific and Technical Achievements in TISCO, 2014

In 2014, the scientific and technical achievements of TISCO bear fruits, of which, three items were awarded the national scientific and technical prize; five metallurgical scientific and technical awards; two Shaxnxi Province scientific and technical awards; three metallurgical mining scientific and technical awards; three metallurgical medical science awards; four metallurgical industry fine engineering design awards; two Shanxi Province outstanding engineering survey and design awards.
The second prize of the national scientific and technical progress “Key Manufacturing Technique and Series Product Development of Advanced Ferritic Stainless Steel” was independently researched and completed by TISCO, which resolved the main technical difficult problems of production of current international advanced ferritic stainless steel, and the process flow and the special equipment for production of ferritic stainless steel was developed and integrated, possessing a series of production and process patents, including exclusive technology of ferritic stainless steel of independent intellectual property right.The implementation of this new technology optimized the variety and consumption structure of stainless steel for China, replacing a large amount of importation of stainless steel products, which shows an important strategic significance to enhance stainless steel industry level and competitiveness in China. The special award ”Mineral Dressing Technology Development and Equipment Integration(22 million tons of year) of Fine Particle Red Magnetic Mixed Iron Ore” conferred by Metallurgical Science and Technoly Prize has resolved the technicl difficult problems of fine particle iron ore grinding, grading, flotation and concentration through scientific and technological research and integration innovation, and this is a historical breakthrough for a long time that key technical diffircult problems of fine particle red magnetic mixed iron ore that perplexed dressing process has been tackled. It will play a leading and demonstation role to promote the development and utilization of fine particle iron ore dressing and it provides valuable experiences of construction of big iron ore mine in China. The first prize“Application and Technology Development of Duplex Stainless Steel Reinforced Bar Used for Zhu-hai Bridge-tunnel” resolves many technical difficult problems such as bending, processing and connecting etc. industrial production and realizes a widespread application of duplex stainless steel first time used for bridge construction in mainland China, upgrading the construction material for bridge–tunnel.
Abundant accomplishments need fertile soil. For years, TISCO vigrously puts innovation driving strategy into effect and calls for the all the staff to cherish the innovative ideas and create the new cultural atmosphere of “Encouraging the innovation made by the people all over the country, tolerating the failure and pursuing the predomination”, practising SBU (Strategy Business Unit),carrying out the opening competition policy of chief who is responsible for the research task, project contracting, granting the heavy awards for individual or team who made outstanding contribution, establishing the new strategic league of technical innovation with colleges and university, research institutes home and abroad, strengthening the technical exchange with academics home and abroad, and the new breakthroughs based upon special steel production process, technique, variety, raw material etc. key technology mainly upon stainless steel has been made so as to seize the commanding point of international competition and feature the competition power of enterprise.
