TISCO Tops the List of Patents in Shanxi Province for Successive 8 Years

380 pieces of patents in the year of 2014 aid TISCO to top the list of Shanxi Province in the successive 8th year. Till now, the company has already got 2093 authorized patents.
With active promotion of technological innovation in recent years, the awareness of innovation and knowledge property has been increasingly developed among TISCO employees. Not only the quantity, but also the quality of patents is leveled up. In the last year, the invention patents applied for by the company added up to 181, accounting for 48% of total patents. In the 8th International Invention Expo, TISCO had 9 service invention patents awarded, 2 of which got golden prizes. It indicates that TISCO’s inventions have been publicly accepted.
The company’s efforts on consolidation of technology quality foundation and promotion of management innovation have unceasingly driven the employees to actively apply for patents. In 2014, the activity of “Brainstorm on Product Variety and Quality” put an emphasis on quality work among the whole company; the program of “Product Quality Upgrade” injected the concepts of “Being earnest, scientific, accurate and serious” into every worker; the call for “first class standards, first class products and first class talents” as well as strengthened team work management of SBU and LHY gave strong push to the development of products and exploitation of markets; the work on research subject optimization eventually realized the status of stable personnel, quantitive indexes and strict assessment.
The atmosphere encouraging innovation and fruitful achievement in patents have helped the company strengthen its technological innovation capability and pass the surveys by various certification societies. In 2014, TISCO had 22 projects applied for technological prizes above provincial and ministerial level, with 3 of them being granted National Science and Technology Award, several of them being granted Metallurgical Science and Technology Award, Shanxi Province Science and Technology Award and other honors in industry. The competiveness of the company is further embodied in its products: the weather proof corrosion resistant steel for rail wagon is certified by China Railways Production Certification Center, the hot rolled austenitic stainless steel plate is granted “Prize for Superior Quality” by China Iron and Steel Association, hot rolled ferrite stainless steel coil is granted the “Golden Cup Award”, and cold rolled silicon steel is granted the “Award for Product of Outstanding Quality”.
