For years, under the drive of automation technology, digital technology, network technology and intelligent technology, Shanxi Taigang Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. has been creating values by aids of advanced technologies, expanding its adept businesses, exalting service level with “soft business”, promoting diversified development and upgrade, and pushing forward the “intelligent manufacturing” of TISCO. At present, the company has got 9 software copyrights and 2 honors for best software in metallurgical industry.
      
Engineering technology is an important business within TISCO’s frame of diversified development strategy. Since the foundation of Shanxi Taigang Engineering Technology Company, the company has grown its business from simply supplying engineering to EPC, from solely supplying drawing to supplying the complete set of production line, by making good use of its expertise in steel processes and integrating innovative resources. Back to 2010 when the company was established, a professional software development team was set up to take care of the programming and implementation of automation software. In the past five years, the team has absorbed advanced experience, stressed independent R&D, formed solution package which is composed of product, project, patent and software with independent knowledge property rights, and successfully developed software for annealing furnace, blast furnace dry de-dust system, lime kiln, stainless steel annealing line, pickling line, BF waste heat recovery system, slag treatment, and water treatment. Development platforms and function bases, as well as standardized modes of R&D, test, release, marketing, technical support, revision management, revision upgrade, and etc. were applied in the software development. At present, several of the software has been commercialized and applied widely in steel industry in Shanxi Province and nearby regions, with both the performance and technical indexes at leading level.
      
Among all the other software, the one for stainless steel pickling line is composed of 2 independent modules, i.e. control systems for annealing furnace and for pickling facility. The two modules can be flexibly assembled to adapt to different metallurgical processes, with purposes of ensuring product quality, optimizing safety control, saving energy, cutting emission and so on. By now, this software has been applied in 5 production lines. Another example is the technology of recovering waste heat from blast furnace quenching water. It can save coal consumption and reducing environmental pollution, with recovered heat being used to supply heat source for city household winter heating system. The software in waste heat recovery system, which can precisely control the stable running of the system, has been popularized in many cities all around China.
