Ultra Supercritical Steel for Boiler Retaining Ring Produced by TISCO Put into Application

Recently, a batch of retaining rings delivered to a boiler manufacturer was highly commented by the customer. The retaining rings were made by a domestic supplier from the ultra supercritical steel independently developed by TISCO. It means from now on, domestic market can use the ultra supercritical steel for boiler retaining ring produced by TISCO as a replacement to that imported. The success in this material also reflects the R&D capability of TISCO.
Insiders revealed that TISCO was the first in China to produce ultra supercritical steel for boiler retaining ring. The boiler industry used to import retaining ring made from this kind of special steel. TISCO successfully produced this special steel, not only filling the blank in local material market, but also creating new opportunities for competitive retaining ring manufacturers of China. The development of this steel grade had seen a lot of challenges like complicated process flow, short delivery time, and sophisticated technologies, while the company had overcome all the difficulties to make trials again and again before the material finally meeting all the requirements from the boiler manufacturer.
In recent years, a sound cooperative relationship has been set up between TISCO and this boiler manufacturer, with an increasing quota of TISCO products being used by it. The products, including ultra supercritical boiler plate and tube, have got a rise due to its excellent performance and exquisite appearance.
The new orders of ultra supercritical steel for boiler retaining ring are now coming one after another, which greatly inspires those who developed it and are selling it. They are highly motivated and are willing to pay more efforts on ultra supercritical steel grades that are still not available among Chinese steel mills.
