STSS Chairman is awarded the golden prize

On the occasion of 65th anniversary for the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Switzerland, the Obermatt “CEO-of-the-year China 2015” award ceremony jointly conducted by Switzerland Embassy in China and the Brainforce International Company was held in the embassy on October 15. Mr. Gao Xiangming, the chairman of Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (STSS for short hereinafter) was awarded the golden prize of Obermatt “CEO-of-the-year China 2015” by Jean-Jacques de Dardel, the ambassador of Switzerland in China. Other award winners are CEOs from 10 publicly listed big scale companies and 8 companies listed in the second board.
Obermatt is an organization who studies and lists the performance of senior managers all over the world in different sectors. The Obermatt CEO List was founded in Switzerland in 2006 and was introduced into China in 2013 with an aim of exploring the most competitive companies in the country. More than 1,000 companies from all over the world are analyzed in terms of sales growth, investment performance, shareholders’ investment return, and so on, before golden prized winner for the internationally competitive “CEO-of-the-year” are chosen from top 100 publicly listed big-scale enterprises and 300 entrepreneurial ventures. The candidates have to outperform more than half of the 30 to 70 worldwide industrial counterparts who are chosen as benchmarks before they have chances to win the prize.
Under the severe situation for steel industry, STSS has deepened reforms in an all-around way, carried out technological innovation and management innovation, and speeded up the upgrading programs to improve quality and efficiency. The company has implemented innovation-driven-strategy to continuously optimize product variety structure and put full effort in building a production base for best products. It has quicken its pace in making an updated green development mode, continued its work in heightening green development level, and finally built an urbanized steel plant who is value creating, reliable, respected, and insisted in green development. The competitiveness of the company has been dramatically boosted and a good operation performance has been witnessed.
