8 applications of TISCO won the prizes of Metallurgical Science and Technology Award 2016 sponsored by the China Iron and Steel Association and Chinese Society for Metals recently. Among them, “Waste Water Recycling Technology & Its Application in Ferrous Metallurgical Process” won the first prize.

 

Totally 62 applications were granted Metallurgical Science and Technology Award 2016 including 1 speical prize, 10 first prizes, 19 second prizes, 32 third prizes. Besides the first prize, TISCO’s “Key Process Technology & Product Mix Development of High Quality Medium/ High-Carbon-Alloy Hot Rolled Coil” and “Production Technology Development on Stainless Profile Steel Used on Nuclear Power Plant” won the second prizes. 5 applications won the third prizes including “Development and Application of Safe Exploration and Treatment in Mass Distributed Laminar Goaf of Open-pit Iron Mine ”, “Chain Grate Machine for Complex-component Hematite to Be Roasted Difficultly----Key Production Technology and Its Application of Oxidized Pellet in Rotary Kiln”, “Development and Application of Cost Collaborative Intelligent System of Raw Material for Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant and Coke Plant”, “Key Process Technology & Product Development of High-Carbon Martensite Stainless Steel Wide Coil”, and “Development and Application of Increasing Waste Heat Recovery Efficiency Technology of Coke Quenching System”.

In the “Waste Water Recycling Technology & Its Application in the Ferrous Metallurgical Process”, the comprehensive index of the water treatment reaches the international advanced level with the water recycling rate of 98.12% and make-up water of 1.45 ton per ton of steel, cascade water supply and quality-assorted water supply are used, a lot of research and pilot scale tests on the treatment and recycle of the waste water produced in the steel rolling plant, coke plant and integrated water treatment plant are described, this technology and its application make a positive contribution to energy conservation & emission reduction in TISCO and the water environment improvement in Taiyuan region, harmonious and sustainable development of the enterprises and the city is achieved, it is a model for other companies and worth to be sped in corresponding industries.
