Comprehensive Environmental Harness Project Completed in the Slag Yard of TISCO

The comprehensive environmental Harness project in Slag Yard of TISCO is another key environment-related project, following super-low emission upgrading of 2 sets 300MW generator units and enclosing of raw material yard. The first batch dedusting facility was put into operation at the end of September, with a good performance. And the other matching equipments are in commission.
 
Over years, TISCO has been dedicating to upgrading and revamping the environmental protection of the Slag Yard. The carbon steel slag hot soaking process line, slag separating line and stainless steel cold treatment workshop have been built one after another. The steel slag was treated previously in slag pot and sprayed with water and now is treated with hot soaking process in a special pond, which improve the operation condition for slag treatment. To further improve the environmental condition inside and outside of the workshop, TISCO decided to carry out comprehensive environmental harness in Slag Yard.
 
The Project has a total investment of 140 mil Yuan and was designed by Taigang Engineering Company. The three outdoors stocking areas have been sheltered to suppress dust; the dedusting devices for No.7 and 8 stainless steel slag hot soaking process lines eliminated dust resource; additional dedusting devices have been installed at No.4, 5 and 6 stainless steel slag hot soaking workshop to reduce dust further. The additionally-installed dust collecting and removal devices, such as movable dust collecting hood, roof hood and DynaWave dedusting facility, can collect and purify all the dusty gas generated from production. The newly-built water treatment system can treat the used cooling water for slag hot soaking pond and dedusting water from DynaWave for recycling though precipitation and separation. All the renovations have reduced noise and slag treated product from hot soaking and separation has been utilized.
 
According to the project leader, bag filters and electrostatic precipitators, which are widely used to clean normal dust, are not applicable for stainless steel slag that features higher viscosity. The breakthrough in process technology is a big highlight in the project. DynaWave wet dedusting technology used in the project is a first in China. Since the project was put into operation, the operation condition in the slag treatment workshop and atmosphere quality outside has been dramatically improved, and high efficient utilization of resource and ecological environmental protection have been realized and integrated, being another example for TISCO to forge green development upgrading version.
