TISCO announced a decision about appointment and removal of the Party Secretary of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., LTD. made by Shanxi Provincial Party Committee in TISCO cadre conference on January 3nd. Gao Xiangming is going to take up the post of Party Secretary of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., LTD. and is nominated as TISCO Chairman. Li Xiaobo no longer serves as Party Secretary of Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., LTD. and is nominated to remove from the chairman.

 

Wang Yixin, Vice Provincial Governor and Party Secretary of Provincial SASAC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Sun Dajun, Vice Minister of Organization Department of Provincial Party Committee, and Cao Huichang, Deputy Party Secretary of Provincial SASAC, attended the meeting, which was hosted by Li Xiaobo.

 

Wang Yixin pointed out that “the appointment and removal decision by Provincial Party Committee is based on the need of work and the actual situation of TISCO leadership construction, which was decided with careful consideration and cautious study and highly appreciated the work TISCO had done. The excellent achievements TISCO has got in recent years is a result of hard work by all cadres and staff united by the company’s leadership, of which Comrade Li XIaobo has a undeniable contribution. Comrade Gao Xiangming, growing up with TISCO’s development, is familiar with the steel business and good at management with professional basic skills and wide vision. He has a good overall planning ability, dares to act and dares to control with a solid working style. Therefore, we believe under the leadership of him, TISCO will be able to create a new situation for reform and development.”

 

Wang made requests on the following work of TISCO. Firstly, deepen the study and implementation of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. TISCO should further improve the political stance, firmly establish "four consciousness" and "four confidence", resolutely maintain the authority of Party Central Committee as well as centralization and unification leadership. TISCO should always keep highly consistent in the party central committee with comrade Xi Jinping as the core in political stand, political orientation, political principle and political path, and consciously put the party central committee's policy into effect. Secondly, TISCO should implement unswervingly the new requirements of the party building in new era, conscientiously fulfill the main responsibilities of the party, and comprehensively promote the party's construction. TISCO should continuously improve the quality of the party's construction, to ensure the correct direction of the reform and development of the enterprise by carrying out the study of "Never forget the original will and keep the mission in mind” and boosting "three basics construction". Thirdly, he hopes TISCO to strive to build the world's most competitive stainless steel enterprise by seizing the opportunities from reform on supply side structural and resources economy transformation which is supported by the central government, and to make the company stronger, bigger and better through problem-oriented mode as well as transformation and upgrading.

 

Gao Xiangming expressed the appreciation for the trust of party organization and support from all TISCO staff in his speech. He said, “I feel a great responsibility and glorious mission for Provincial Party Committee decided to let me take the main position of TISCO. To be worthy of the trust of party organization and support from all TISCO staff, I will unite and lead the team members to do the job well with dedicated and diligent working attitude. Firstly, study hard and take a clear-cut stand about politics. Therefore, I will study the socialist ideology of Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jjinping and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress to remain highly consistent with the Party Central Committee with comrade Xi as the core in ideology, in politics and in action. Secondly, dare to take responsibility and spare no effort to seek the opportunity for development. In order to lay a solid foundation of the “Century Dream of TISCO”, I will try my best to promote the reforms on quality, efficiency and power, dare to act and dare to take responsibility. Thirdly, look for the truth and be practical, forge ahead in unity. For this, I will set up the correct value of cause and achievement in ways of implementation of democratic centralism, uniting staff for enterprise’s development and cohesion wisdom and strength from all aspects. Fourthly, be integrity and self-discipline, set a good example to hold the bottom line. So I will enhance self control ability on politics and morality, go straight and avoid corruption, to build a sound political ecology with honest and upright.”

 

Li Xiaobo expressed his thanks to the trust and support from TISCO leader team and all staff over the years. He says: “Under the critical period of transformation and upgrading of TISCO, we should follow the socialist ideology of Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping and the spirit of the 19th CPC national congress and deepen the strategic layout of "strengthening main business with extension development, diversified development, green development and harmonious development" to build TISCO a world first-class enterprise with globally competitive and lead TISCO into a new era of high quality development. I believe the new leader team of TISCO will be able to unite and lead all staff to promote better and faster development in the new start which will be sure to make provincial party committee and government as well as people in Shanxi reassured and satisfied.”
