The city of London, a well-known international financial center that shares the same fame with the Wall Street of the USA, is a home to many financial organizations such as banks, stock exchanges, and golden markets. In this famous city, a new landmark building, namely 100 Bishopsgate, is rising up from the ground. TISCO won the bid for support panel of glass curtain wall of the building recently. It makes the company the only Chinese supplier of curtain wall frame for the building.

 

The 100 Bishopsgate will take up a total construction area of 88,000 sq m, and comprise a main tower with 181 meters height and 37 floors, and two attached buildings. It will be one of the landmark buildings of London. Glass curtain wall, as a new type of outer wall of building in modern time, integrates many features like architectural aesthetics, architectural function, energy-saving, and architectural structure in the building. It presents different colors from different angle of view, and changes with daylight, moonlight and lamplight. The 100 Bishopsgate will be totally covered by glass curtain wall which spot-supported by stainless steel plates. The curtain wall installation will soon be started according to project schedule.

 

Due to construction contractor’s extreme requirements to the stainless steel plates in terms of strength, surface, geometry, flatness, and etc., only a handful of suppliers are capable of producing such material in the world.
