Adhering to the combination of water saving and sewage reuse, TISCO stepped up efforts to implement a new round of key engineering projects for water system improvement. TISCO strives hard to upgrade the green development for water system by promoting intensive utilization of water resources and improving water-effect, which further consolidates its leading position of water-effect in the industry.

 

To promote water saving and emissions reduction is a top priority to create water-saving enterprise and realize the sustainable development of the enterprise. According to the most stringent environmental standards in iron and steel industry, TISCO invests 240 million Yuan and lunches a project of treatment by quality at the source and comprehensive advanced treatment of industrial wastewater by taking a series of measures like emission reduction at the source, process control, treatment by quality and dialectical treatment. The project will be completed and put into production in 2018 year, the quality of the water after treatment will be further improved and indicators in the industry will first reach to the value of the special emission limits, which makes positive contribution to build a good water ecological system.

 

Improving the level of urban sewage treatment is an important way to accelerate the transition from tiny circulation inside steelworks into major circle in society and to build a harmonious community of steel mills and the city, and also an important example that TISCO actively undertaking social responsibility. In order to solve the problem of comprehensive treatment of urban sewage and utilization of reclaimed water, TISCO is stepping up to plan and prepare, and intend to invest more than 20 million Yuan for construction of pumping station of municipal sewage and reclaimed water as well as relevant water diversion pipe network, by which TISCO can make comprehensive processing recycle of urban sewage along Datong road near TISCO and reclaim water from sewage treatment plant in northern suburbs by giving full play to the ability of existing sewage treatment system and the function of water consumption in steel process. The completion of the system will further reduce new water used in industrial production process and realize harmonious development between enterprise and city in a higher level.

 

Meanwhile, TISCO persists in saving water at the source and creates a strong atmosphere of saving water by strengthening water saving consciousness and forming good habits of saving water of the staff. Since this year, TISCO fully implements smart bath system in the main factory bathhouses through intelligent water-saving system and worker bath time control management to control the nozzle watering time scientifically by different working posts, which realizes the quantitative utilization, fine control and intelligent saving of water in bath. According to preliminary estimates, the intelligent bath system can save more than 15% of the bath water, the consciousness of "water-saving start at one’s side, start from one drop and starts from me" is further enhanced, and the consciousness and initiative of the staff are improved significantly.

 

Green development is the precondition of enterprise survival and the basis for the high quality development of enterprise.
