TISCO rewards technological achievements and technological workers

“I’m grateful for receiving this award. Each progress and achievement I have got is based on the broad platform supplied by TISCO. I’m also grateful to those who offered me help, and to those who I do not even know the names”, said the laureate of the honor of 2017 TISCO Outstanding Technological Worker, Lin Yuan, the chief of Silicon Steel Section of TISCO Technology Center, A number of respectable employees (teams) and programs are rewarded in the 2018 TISCO Technology and Quality Conference held on April 14th.
 
Key technological breakthrough has always been the focus of TISCO technological innovation work. The program of “development and application of super big-scale process technology for mixed iron ore of hematite and magnetite fine” under the charge of TISCO was granted the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Awards. The technology fills blank in the processing of the complicated ore and makes a historical breakthrough. The team of the program are rewarded 200,000 Yuan in the Conference. Besides, the company harvests a number of science and technology achievements in product development, market exploration, energy conservation & environment protection, healthcare, and etc. Another four teams that are rewarded 200,000 Yuan are TISCO Healthcare Company’s team of interventional treatment technology in respiratory system, development team of stainless steel for the roof of Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, tandem cold rolling line team for lifting quality and efficiency, and team for treating the slag-yard environment. During the course of science and technology creation, a lot of technology talents appeared: they dedicate themselves to the service of the country; they work with independent innovative enthusiasm and down-to-earth attitude; and make significant contribution to lifting TISCO’s competitiveness. Four individuals are rewarded 100,000 Yuan for their contribution. They are Zhai Jun, the chief of Process Study Section of Technology Center, Lin Yuan, the chief of Silicon Steel Section of Technology Center, Su Zhi, the chief engineer of Stainless Steel Cold Rolling Mill, and Xing Jibin, the foreman of Smelting Workshop 3 of No.2 Steel Making Plant.
 
Four programs that were granted Metallurgical Science and Technology Prize by the nation, including “development and application of know-how on de-oxidation and inclusion control of super pure stainless steel”, “the development and application of new technology of SEM-based microstructure representation”, “stable operation under the condition of using big percentage of small grain coke and a potion of inferior fuel”, are rewarded premiums up to 150,000 Yuan in this conference. Seven programs that were granted Shanxi Province Science and Technology Prize, including “development and application of dual-membrane technology for recovery of metallurgical waste water”, are rewarded premiums up to 100,000 Yuan. Besides, twenty-five programs that were granted 2017 TISCO Science and Technology Prize, one program that were granted China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, two programs that were granted Metallurgical Medical Prize, three programs that were granted Metallurgical Industry Excellent Engineering Design Prize, as well as outstanding teams and individuals in innovation management and quality work, all rewarded premiums by the Conference.
 
In recent years, TISCO inspires the innovation concept of “being glad to hear new thing, being motivated by new things and being outperforming with new things” and the innovation culture that “encourages innovation, allows failure and opposes conservatism”. A big number of technologies, processes and products with independent knowledge property right are formed under such atmosphere. In 2017, the company takes nine government support science and technology programs, among which five are key programs of state level. The company sets innovation studios as innovation platforms for employees. By the present, thirty innovation studios that cover all main production lines have formed a grand innovation team consisting of technology pioneers, technology backbones and technicians. The “Chief engineers” and “product engineers” mechanism initiated by TISCO integrate the new product design, development, production and application. The company has been appraised as a state level demonstration for innovation for successive six years.
