The first batch of stainless steel plate for RAPID project has been delivered to the state oil company of Malaysia, the PETRONAS, recently. The customer speaks highly on the products that are to be used to build olefin storage tank. It is an echo to the state initiative of “Belt and Road”, which encourages Chinese companies to actively develop international market and explore overseas customers.

 

RAPID aims at building a world-scale integrated refinery and petrochemical complex in the state of Johor, Malaysia. The estimated investment for the project is 20 billion US dollars. Among dozens of bidding sections of the whole project, the P30A section, i.e. olefin storage tank project, is of great importance. China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau is the contractor for P30A.

 

As its first low temperature chemical tank project in foreign country, the P30A is given significant attention by CPPB, who reviewed many stainless steel plate producers home and abroad with severe carefulness during the bidding phase. To meet the demands in tight delivery time and strict technical specification of the project, TISCO’s sales team proposed a one-stop solution that was composed of dimension design, material processing, delivery time, and other details. After many times technical discussions and exchanges over a period of more than 6 months, TISCO was rewarded the contract.
