Production and operation review for 2019 first half held in TISCO

TISCO held its production and operation review meeting for first half year of 2019 on July 17th. The meeting addressed that, each subsidiary and branch should follow closely the ongoing education campaign on the theme of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, stick to the initial heart, bravely shoulder missions, find and fill the shortcomings, and ensure the successful completion of annual budget targets and tasks. Mr. Gao Jianbing, the deputy general secretary of CPC party committee, vice chairman and general manager of TISCO, attended the meeting and raised requirements to those who were present. Mr. Zhang Xiaodong, a standing member of CPC party committee and chief accountant of the company, presided over the meeting.

The meeting presented the budget completion and assessment of the company in the first half of the 2019, analyzed problems existed and made arrangement for key works for the second half of the year. international trading company, engineering and technology company, refractory material company, composition material company and some other branches delivered presentations on how it going for the first six months and what the direction and plan for the rest of the year. Company managements as well as related central functional departments gave their advices and suggestions on how to fulfill the annual budget target.

It is pointed out that, in the first half of the year, in the face of a complex operating environment, the company has focused on budget objectives and tasks, innovated concepts and methods, mobilized all staff, worked together in a concerted effort, decomposed and implemented the mission, worked more solidly and meticulously in market development, and basically fulfilled half of the task over half of the year, which deserves full recognition. All units should conscientiously sum up experience, face up to shortcomings, concentrate on overcoming difficulties, make up short board, and strengthen advantages, so as to ensure the successful completion of the whole year target.

The meeting stressed that in order to overcome the difficulties and challenges, we must adhere to the budget target, strengthen the overall budget management, and improve the authority, seriousness and execution of the budget. We should closely focus on budget target, deepen the benchmarking work, identify gaps and modify deficiencies. Units with a large gap from budget target should learn from the good ideas, methods and experience of units who performance well, carefully analyze the roots of problems, timely make adjustment, and take effective measures to catch up. All cadres should bear their identity and responsibility, behave as they promised, exert pressure on themselves, and accept the supervision of masses of workers.

The meeting pointed that it is necessary to fully understand and new situation and new characteristics of the steel market, adhere to market and customer orientation, deepen reform and innovation, execute fine management, reform on the institutional mechanisms and processes that restrict the improvement of efficiency, vigorously promote the improvement of quality and cost-efficiency, so as to continuously improve the core competitiveness of the steel business. Diversified industries is not only the company’s strategic choice to adapt to changes in external market, but also the company’s internal needs for transformation, upgrading and high-quality development. We should stick to the reform ideas and methods to solve the contradictions and problems encountered on our way, continuously release the reform vitality, stimulate the development momentum, promote diversified industries to form new business highlights, and promote the steady improvement of the overall performance of the company. All business segments should further strengthen market awareness and competition awareness, take performance appraisal as guidance, improve efficiency benefit, optimize ability of management and value-creation; they should further enhance risk control awareness, focus on debts settling, inventory reducing, financial investment risk assessment and other work, and strive to achieve stable and steady progress; they should made efforts to build a talent team with qualified expertise, to provide strong talent pool and intellectual support for the sustainable development of the company. All management departments should give full play to their responsibilities, play a leading role in guidance services, actively put forward optimization solutions, help relevant units to solve various problems and create favorable conditions and environment for the company to become stronger, better and greater.

It is figured out in the meeting that the "14th Five-Year Plan" period is a key period for China to move from building a well-off society in an all-round way to basically realizing socialist modernization. Making a good plan for the "14th Five-Year Plan" is of great significance and long-term importance to the overall situation. All units and departments should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of Chinese characteristics, grasp the key points, conduct in-depth research and demonstration, strengthen policy coordination, innovate ways and means, and strive to prepare a high-quality plan that conforms to the reality of TISCO, reflects the expectations of the staff and workers, and leads the future development.

The meeting stressed that safety and environmental protection are the red line, bottom line and lifeline that we must firmly stick to in our work. Despite the pressure of safety and environmental protection, we have no retreat but to move forward. All units shall adhere to the principle of being pragmatic and carry out the main responsibilities of safety and environmental protection work, establish and improve a long-term mechanism for safety and environmental protection work, and comprehensively do a good job in various safety and environmental protection work so as to lay a solid foundation for the company's high-quality development.
