The 5th China Brand Forum sponsored by People's Daily was solemnly opened in Beijing on December 18. The theme of this forum is "building a strong country with high quality and famed brand". At the meeting, the People's Daily released the "China Brand Development Index Top 100 List". TISCO ranked No. 83rd with a composite index of 731.92. The list includes four iron and steel enterprises, namely Baowu Group, Angang Steel, Masteel and TISCO.
As a global leader in the stainless steel industry, TISCO has an annual output of 12 million tons of steel (including 4.6 million tons of stainless steel). The company, aiming at products that are "high-tech, precise, cutting-edge and in pressing demand", bravely shouldered the responsibility of being a "national innovation team", consciously transformed the national will of innovation into enterprise actions, continuously developed a large number of scientific and technological achievements represented by high-end special materials, advanced manufacturing technology and green development technology, and formed a product cluster that are efficient, energy-saving and long-life, mainly consisting of stainless steel, cold rolled silicon steel, railway steel and high-strength and high toughness series steel. The "China Brand Development Index" is a quantitative evaluation of the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises and the country from the perspective of promoting the brand economy. It is a comprehensive statistical measure to people’s life level and society’s development ability. It not only reflects the macro trend index of China's brand economy development, but also reflects the structural index of micro competitiveness in China's brand economy development.
The benchmark date of the 100 enterprise indexes released this time is from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2019. The first phase released 100 enterprise brand index values. The enterprise innovation capability is evaluated in six aspects, namely innovation, comprehensive strength, market identification, profitability, social responsibility and reputation. 21,442 enterprises are evaluated based on the principles of systematic, measurable, large-scale and sustainable.
