TISCO cracks down on brand infringement to protect consumers’ interests

The intermediate and higher people’s courts of Henan province recently ruled that the so called “Henan Taigang Stainless Steel Company” had infringed the legal right of Shanxi Taigang Stainless steel Co., Ltd. And the former was ordered to change its name, make apology to the public and the latter and pay the latter with economic compensation. Currently, the counts have frozen the Henan Company’s bank account, placed related persons into credit blacklist, and set consumption restrictions to the defaulters. This is one of the many cases in which TISCO substantially protects the interests of both consumers and its own.

To infringement, TISCO has developed a “cracking down + prevention” method to protect its brand image and consumers’ legal interests. Speaking of “cracking down”, the company publishes frequently the notices on fraud products to alert consumers; it sets up a dedicated office to cooperate with government authorities responsible for public security, industry and commerce, the customs and quality inspection in cracking down on infringement, and find clue as early as possible among all information regarding fake products and infringement activities. The company also actively gets contact with those buyers who are cheated and suffered loss or damage due to infringement, to help and guide them to pursue legal procedures, and teach them how to identify the fake products. In this process, a close relationship is naturally established, and the infringed buyers turn into the company’s potential customers. Speaking of “prevention”, TISCO works out and brings into effect the Method for Brand Management, organizes training on laws and regulations and basic knowledge, form a system for brand registration and protection. The company adopts new anti-counterfeiting measures in the Product Quality Certificate and stamps QR code on the packages and labels to allow customers check and identify promptly. The company files knowledge property protection application to the General Customs Administration and proactively participates into “Long Teng” the special action of knowledge property protection.
