The 2020 Scientific and Technological Quality Conference held on March 20 in TISCO highly awarded the achievements and contributors (and teams) that stood out in the scientific and technology work in 2019. To strengthen the concept of "science and technology is the first productive force" among all staff, speed up the construction of a first-class innovation ecology, and encourage the vast number of scientific and technological quality workers to produce more innovations that are substantial, pragmatic and influential, the reward bonus this year is greatly increased to up to 1 million Yuan.

The titles of “outstanding teams with great contribution in TISCO’s science and technology work” are granted to the environmental team of coking plant, wound repair team of burn rescue hospital, R&D team of high grade NGO silicon steel rolling process, certification and quality team of ferrite stainless steel for automobile use, quality and cost team of No. 5 blast furnace, R&D team of high-end railway wheel steel, standardized mechanical and chemical inspection team, rotary kiln project team of Xinlei company, digestive endoscopy minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment team, and optimization team of roll shifting for No.2 RAP Line, with each team being awarded a bonus of 300,000 Yuan separately. The titles of “outstanding contributors to TISCO science and technology work” are granted to Hou Haibin of No. 2 Steel-making Plant, Cui Rufei of Stainless Steel Cold Rolling Mill, Shu Wei, Ying Wei and Hou Pengfei of Technology Center, with each of them being awarded 150,000 Yuan.

The teams and individuals who won honors in national, provincial, industrial, and company-level in fields of science and technology, metallurgical process, quality control, and 6-sigma management mode are also awarded in the conference. The innovation of “technology and product development of wide super thin stainless steel precision strip”, which was the laureate of special prize of national metallurgical rewards, are awarded 600,000 Yuan. No.2 Steel-making Plant and Stainless Steel Cold Rolling Mill, which were the “advanced unit in quality work in 2019”, are awarded 1 million Yuan each.
