The mechanical and chemical labs of Technology Center, TISCO got approved in a site re-assessment held by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS for short). The approval underpins the continuous and effective operation of the quality system of the laboratories under CNAS accreditation standards, which promotes improvement in both testing accuracy and testing scope, and provides substantial support for the company's production and operation as well as product research and development.
Guided by three CNAS instructions, namely the “Recognition Criteria for Testing and Calibration Services Ability”, and the “Application Notes” of the recognition criteria in chemical testing and metal material testing, the evaluation team conducted a careful examination to the labs in terms of quality system document, quality technology record, risk control, information system, instrument calibration, training and etc., and carried out 33 tests for 7 types of products, and updated 25 testing specifications or testing methods in the two-day re-assessment.
After stringent evaluation, CNAS experts concluded that the re-certification were recommended, based on the fact that daily quality activities in the labs were fairly under control and the labs were up to specification with complete record of all quality activities, sound management system, qualified personnel, environment, and equipment.
CNAS certification is one of the necessities for TISCO products to access certain special sectors or fields like military, nuclear, pipeline steel and JIS certificate. The pass of the survey is expected to help the Technology Center to further expand and optimize its testing ability, to better certify TISCO products, and to drive the high quality transformational development of the company.
