TISCO smart supply chain logistics system put online

After more than 420 days revamping and upgrading, TISCO put its smart supply chain logistics system on line in recent days, marking a significant milestone for the company to set up an integrated, coordinated and high-efficiency management and control platform that leads the national logistics field.

The upgrading was generally executed by TISCO Information and Automation Company and jointly developed and carried out by Chinese well-known and professional industry players like Baosight, Qingdao Xiyi, Lenovo, Chengdu Nine-One Rail Technology, and Beijing Dilon. Ten new 2-level systems, including a new material handling system, a metal MES system, a source management system, a truck tracking system, a 3rd party logistics platform, a access control system, and etc. were set up. Fourteen sub-level systems, including SAP, MES, and production and sales system were optimized.

The new system embraces flexibility and adaptability of the logistics industry, reflects the management idea of planning and consistency, applies intelligent technology and visualization technology to dynamically dispatch and allocate logistics resources, precisely manages the logistics system, promptly responses to market requirements, effectively lowers the stock, improves the supply chain efficiency and boosts the enterprise’s competitiveness.

It is predicated a 30% drop for stop-time of railway cargos and a 20% up for cargo utilization rate after the new system putting on line. Besides, it is expected to see a dramatic cost cut for truck transportation and a simplified procedure for material exiting from the factory.
