Recently, the "2020 China Quality Technology and Innovation Achievement Publishing Competition", sponsored by magazine China Quality of China Association for Quality, was held in Beijing. The Six Sigma black belt project of TISCO, namely "Improving the First Pass Yield of Precision Foil in Finishing Process", and a premium tailor-made new service mode project stood out from many competitors and won the highest honor in the competition --- demonstration-level technical achievements.
This competition includes five sectors: Six Sigma, Lean Management, Reliability Management, Quality Innovation and Premium Service. 195 projects from 106 enterprises all around China participated in the publication of Six Sigma projects, and 42 projects from 37 enterprises participated in the publication of premium service sector.
The cross-functional project team, which is composed of engineers and experts from TISCO Precision Strip Company and Technology Center, made full use of Six Sigma methods and tools to pinpoint, confirm, improve, and control the factors that may result into nonconformity of products in precision foil finishing process. This practice significantly improves the first pass yield of precision foil in finishing process. Another project team, which is a combination of talents from TISCO Marketing Center and TISCO Technology Center, uses quality management tools to systematically analyze users' needs, and at the same time, uses service blueprints to sort out the marketing process, which effectively promotes the optimization of the marketing model, fully embodies the company's implementation of precise services centered on customer needs, drives product innovation with service innovation, and continuously improves the professional marketing services.
Members from the two projects said that they will take this event as a new starting point, learn from the experience and practices of outstanding enterprises at home and abroad, summarize and explore the application and practice of advanced quality technology methods and tools in TISCO, promote the deep integration of the company's quality methods and tools with process technology and marketing model, continuously improve product quality, service quality and operation quality, and make contribution to the company's high-quality transformation and development.
