TISCO was recently enrolled at the “2021 annual framework agreement (manufacturers) for purchasing stainless steel seamless and welded tubes” of SINOPEC CORP, marking the first win of bid for all its stainless steel tube products in SINOPEC’s annual bidding. Adding to already enrolled stainless steel flats, the success makes TISCO a pioneer who has both tube product and flat product be approved by SINOPEC, a worldwide leading player in oil industry.
Along with the industrialization in China, large-scale petroleum refining projects are built one after another in recent years. As a key and basic industrial material, stainless steels are widely applied in petroleum industry. To better understand SINEPEC’s threshold and get itself well prepared, TISCO marketing team thoroughly studied the technical and commercial clauses in the bidding documents, innovatively revised traditional marketing ideas and improved old business operation mode, actively embraced the new mode of framework agreement procurement, and paid in-person visits to units affiliated to SINOPEC. After strict review organized by SINOPEC in aspects of enterprise qualification, R&D capability, production capability, technical level, operation performance and etc., TISCO got approval to be a qualified supplier to the oil giant.
A stable strategic partnership has been maintained between TISCO and SINOPEC for a long while. The two have had deep cooperation in many refining projects, including the projects in Zhenhai, Hainan and Baling this year. The approval has laid a solid foundation for TISCO products in SINOPEC procurement system, and greatly inspired those who made great effort to make it happen, according to the head of the marketing team. The team will uphold to the customers oriented marketing concept, build an integrated system that links production, marketing, research and development, and application together, and contribute to TISCO’s ambition to be the stainless steel leader in the world, he said.
