TISCO becomes a gold supplier to CSSC

TISCO was titled 2020 “gold suppliers” to China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited in the latter’s suppliers’ conference recently held in Beijing.

CSSC was reorganized from two state-owned shipbuilding companies on October 14th, 2019, following the approval of Chinese Central Government and State Council. As the worldwide largest shipbuilder, the company has the biggest production base and the most competent R&D capability in Chinese shipbuilding industry. As one of the pioneer producers of stainless steel for shipbuilding application, TISCO shares close partnership with CSSC. The title of gold supplier reflects CSSC’s recognition to TISCO products, and stands for the most respectable honor to reward TISCO’s long time support to the nation’s shipbuilding industry.

Being a primary special steel research and production base in China, TISCO has always kept serving the country as its aspiration, persisted in independent innovation, met the demands of national key project, and focused on R&D and production of advanced stainless steels and other special steels for ship use. The company has made breakthroughs one after another in material development for chemical ships, LNG ships, dual-fuel ships, and etc., successfully replacing import material. During the period of 2017 to 2020, TISCO and CSSC made concrete cooperation in an internationally biggest stainless steel chemical shipbuilding project which represents top level of the global shipbuilding technology. In recent 20 years, TISCO has supplied a cumulative 100,000 tons of high-end stainless steel material to Chinese shipbuilders, marking itself a pivot support to the development of the nation’s shipbuilding industry.
