The 52nd World Standards Day on October 14th 2021 is about “our shared vision for a better world”. TISCO, which has always regarded product standardization as the leading edge of enterprise's technical management, deeply awared that product standardization is the fundamental guarantee for an enterprise to operate according to law as well as an important symbol of technological progress, has achieved fruitful outcomes in product standardization.
As General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed, it is an important and urgent task to strengthen the standardization work and implement the standardization strategy, which has long-term significance for economic and social development. In recent years, TISCO has earnestly implemented the requirements to deepen the standardization reform, and actively play the role of vanguard in steel industry standardization, made full use of the basic, leading and strategic attributes of standardization work. The company has established a standard system that is based on domestic and international stainless steel general standards and supported by enterprise standards, standards+α and internal control standards. The continuous implementation of a large number of product standards and management standards has brought efficient and stable production and operation to TISCO, with main product quality indicators reaching the international advanced level, the users’ needs being met to the greatest extent, and the core competitiveness of the enterprise being significantly enhanced.
In terms of the drawing up of national standards and industry standards, TISCO has led the formulation of the three national standards for cold-rolled stainless steel plate and strip, hot-rolled stainless steel plate and strip, and heat-resistant steel plate and strip, which are the most important and basic standards in China's stainless steel industry. Upon the advent of a series of high-end products in advanced manufacturing fields, TISCO drafted standards accordingly. The first industry standard for free-cutting stainless steel wire for pen use, the first national standard for stainless steel plate and strip in nuclear power field, and the first national standard for stainless steel precision foil, are all drafted by TISCO. Up to now, TISCO has led (or participated in) the formulation of more than 100 national standards, industry standards and group standards in stainless steel field.
The State Council recently issued an Outline of National Standardization Development, which set the goal for China's standardization development in the next 15 years. The key areas of the standards include intelligent ships, high-speed rail, new energy vehicles, newly built basic technologies, key fundamental materials, general standards, peak carbon dioxide emissions & carbon neutrality, and etc. TISCO will thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jin Ping imposed in his important speech during his investigation tour in China Baowu, focus on the high-quality standardization work in the above-mentioned fields, continuously move forward on the high quality development driven by standards, and make greater contributions to solving the bottlenecking problems encountered by China's stainless steel industry in new products, new processes and new technologies.
