Recently, TISCO was invited to attend the Global Supplier Conference of General Electric (hereinafter referred to as GE) Hydropower Company and won the "Best Breakthrough Award". With outstanding performance in product quality, technical service and new product research and development, TISCO has become the major supplier of high-grade magnetic steel plates for GE Hydropower.

GE, one of the leading suppliers of hydropower equipment and systems, has installed hydropower capacity accounting for 25% of the world's total. Tianjin GE, as GE's largest hydropower equipment production base, accounts for about 20% of China's large hydropower equipment market share, and has made deals for hydro-generator units with total installed capacity exceeding 60 million kilowatts. As mentioned in the award speech delivered by GE, "TISCO is technologically advanced in the fields of silicon steel, magnetic steel and stainless steel. The company has successively broken through the technical difficulties of various steel materials, successfully replaced imports with their own products, and established a safe and stable raw material supply chain, which lay a good foundation for the development of domestic enterprises." Over the years, TISCO has always adhered to the concept of "customer-centered" and "mutual benefit through long-term cooperation", and joined hands with GE to deeply explore the field of high-grade magnetic yoke steel for hydropower.

In 2016, TISCO became the first enterprise in the world to pass the homologation and obtain the batch certification of 750MPa high-strength yoke steel. In 2017, TISCO and Tianjin GE signed the contract to supply yoke steel for the first unit in Wudongde Hydropower Station, becoming the first supplier of yoke steel for 28 units in Wudongde and Baihetan (also known as Crane beach hydropower station) projects. Subsequently, TISCO's cooperation with GE went global, with TISCO products being successfully applied to India SOLU and GE Pakistan hydropower projects. TISCO has fully demonstrated the spirit of high efficiency, professionalism and win-win cooperation in all these projects, provided refined management of the whole process and customized service with humanity, and won the trust of GE.

With the application of hydropower steel of TISCO in key projects at home and abroad, the products are highly recognized by hydropower equipment manufacturers and owners, and the domestic market share is in a stable leading position. In the future, TISCO and GE will continue their in-depth cooperation in renewable energy fields such as wind power, hydropower and photo-electricity, promote the localization of high-end steel products in the field of renewable energy, and contribute to the green development goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
