TISCO received a letter from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), who thanked the former for its substantial support in the construction of the Long March-5B remote sensing control rocket II. TISCO delivered to the rocket the stainless steel plate and high strength alloy structure steel plate which fell into 4 types and 7 grades. These material were used to construct the core parts of the rocket, representing another significant achievement for TISCO in innovation and R&D.

The Long March-5 is the strongest rocket in China. On April 29th, the Long March-5B remote sensing control rocket II lifted “Tianhe”, or Harmony of Heavens --- the core module of space station to its preset orbit, marking a first milestone in the construction of manned Tiangong station.

To meet the extremely high requirements for the material for the Long March 5B, TISCO R&D staff overcame technical bottlenecks and managed to develop applicable processes. Under their effort, the company finally produced stainless steel plates with excellent heat resistance and high strength, and alloy steel plates with excellent purity and surface quality. The products outstood flight tests and fulfilled application requirements with flawless performance and reliable quality.

For years, TISCO has always committed to its mission, given full play of its superiority in technology and facility, and optimized its production processes and flow. The company always overcomes any and all difficulty to deliver the products, despite the small quantity and complicated specification from airspace industry orders. After ceaseless efforts, the company has become one of the major suppliers of steel for airspace application.

With full-hearted enthusiasm and pride, TISCO employees have shouldered the mission to supply material for the country’s aerospace equipment. Its cutting-edge products, including stainless steel, high-strength alloy structural steel and electric-magnetic pure iron, were successfully applied to the Long March rockets, Shenzhou space crafts, Chang’e probe, as well as the core parts in Tiangong station lab.

Forging the top quality and lightening the aerospace dream. Higher requirements are being raised to materials used in aerospace industry, with the implementation of many important space projects, including the space station construction, lunar probing program, March probing program, and etc., amid vigorous development of Chinese aerospace course. In the future, TISCO will keep its commitments, continue its exploration for new material, produce top quality, and contribute new driving force to China’s space ambition.
