Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. was awarded the Special Contribution Award for the commissioning of Tank No. 4 in the Tianjin LNG Phase II Project by the National Pipe Network Group's Tianjin LNG Co., Ltd. This award highlights Tai Steel's strong presence in the LNG tank market, its support for national energy projects, and its customer-centric business philosophy. It solidifies Tai Steel's position in the market for 9Ni steel in large LNG tanks.
The Tianjin LNG Phase II Project is a key project promoted by the National Development and Reform Commission to advance the "Interconnection of National Gas Infrastructure." It is an essential livelihood project and energy supply project in the construction of the national "production, supply, storage, and sales" system. Upon the completion of all six tanks and supporting facilities in the project, the liquefied natural gas storage capacity will reach 1.54 million cubic meters, and the annual processing capacity will reach 12 million tons, nearly doubling the current capacity. This significant upgrade will play a crucial role in peak-load regulation and energy supply in North China. The successful completion of LNG pre-cooling and filling operations in Tank No. 4 marks the first successful commissioning of an LNG tank constructed since the establishment of the PipeChina.
