Under its effort, we can see vegetation floras composed of arbor, shrub, flowers and grass scattered in the factory; we also see a pleasant ecological scene of “factory amid lush forest, roads amid green trees, and workers amid beautiful landscape” and an internationally first-class garden-style factory. In the year of 2014, following the progress of Stainless Steel Tandem Cold Rolling Mill project and Silicon Steel Tandem Cold Rolling Mill project, a greening area of 56,000 m2 was added around the sites of these two projects; by the completion of project of city express way North Ring, the south gate of the factory and a wall with length of 430m beside the new gate were rebuilt, and an area of 1900 m2 around were afforested; in TISCO Museum, 23 varieties of plants were cultivated --- people who visit the museum now can enjoy the tree-lined streets, the flourished garden, the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers. At present, the vegetations in TISCO factory cover 127 species, and the green coverage ratio is 39.32%.
In this year, the company will keep the good trend of its greening work by insisting in greening guideline, carrying out fine management, and implementing performance examination. Specifically, to ensure that the greening projects are matched with progresses of production line projects, more work will be focused on the sites of stainless steel and silicon steel tandem lines, VOD sites and CCM sites of No.1 Steel Making Plant, site of Slag-to-Wool project, site of primary sub-station upgrade project, and etc. Under the new target of green ratio of 39.6%, more areas will be afforested.
