TISCO Passed Work Condition Assessment

Recently, TISCO passed the Work Condition Assessment (WCA) with a satisfying score of 98. According to the requirement of WCA, a program of a well-known UK certification company Intertek, the score of 85 and above is defined as “qualified”. At present, the worldwide average score is 78 and China-wide average score is 76.

WCA program is an internationally accepted assessment standard for social responsibility. It covers 5 sectors: labor, working time and payment, health and safety, management system, and environment. Specific contents include prohibitions against employing children labor, under age labor and forced labor; prohibitions against discrimination, corporal punishment, harass and abuse; provisions that workers have the freedom to join in any social party and the right to sign the employment contracts; provisions on payment and welfare deserved by labors; requirements in terms of harmful chemical substance, conditions of accommodation, establishments in dining halls, and etc. The result of this assessment indicates that TISCO highly complies with the international standard in aspects of employment, safe production, working condition, management system and corporate social commitment.
