TISCO Chairman brings messages of national “two sessions” to its management level


      
TISCO held a meeting to pass on the messages of national “two sessions” on March 18th. Li Xiaobo, the TISCO chairman and general secretary of Party Committee, delivered a report and gave suggestions on how to implement the spirit of the two sessions. The meeting called for concrete effort to learn in detail the national two sessions spirit, united mind and action to respond to the decision and deployment of central and provincial governments, sober attitude toward present situation, strong confidence to the future, and maximum motivation to push forward innovation in management, technology and commercial modes, so as to survive the severe competition in steel industry by aids of expanding product spectrum, lifting product quality and building brand image, and to make the “TISCO Century Dream” come true by continuously solidifying and increasing the company’s competitiveness.
      
The meeting was presided over by Gao Xiangming, the general manager of TISCO.
      
Highlights of speeches delivered by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the two sessions, as well as that of Zhang Dejiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Ma Kai, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Vice-Premier of the State Council, during their discussion with Shanxi deputies; and that of Wang Rulin, the Secretary of Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, and Li Xiaopeng, the Governor of Shanxi Province, were communicated in the meeting. Besides, Li Xiaobo raised requirements to his colleagues on the execution of missions arranged by the two sessions.
      
Li called for a strong confidence to the five key development concepts --- innovation, balanced growth, a green economy, opening up and inclusive development. He said, despite the unprecedented challenges encountered by TISCO, we noticed that the operation concept and development strategy of TISCO found an echo in the five concepts for development, complied with the requirements of central and provincial government, and conformed to the company’s growth path. With the progress of reform in TISCO, we were seeing a company going forward to a better future and a group of people with firmer faith in their strategy, culture, team and ability. We should observe the world with dialectical eyes, confident mind and sense of mission. We should emancipate the mind, keep pace with the times, and spur growth with new development concepts.
      
Li stressed the significance of product variety and quality, as well as the level of product and service. He pointed out that the structural reform of supply-side had become an inevitable choice to defeat the current difficulties. The company still had ample space to expand product variety and lift product quality. We should closely eye the market demands and head forward to the customized, high-end and service-intensive mode. We should put more efforts on creating demands, promoting craftsmanship, and increasing company’s competitiveness. We should take no hesitate to clean up ineffective capacity, actively respond to policy, optimize resource allocation, and turn from deficits to profit as soon as possible.
      
Li hoped all staff to hold on the TISCO’s Century Dream and pledged to breed a pragmatic and reliable team. Dream cannot come true without efforts and pains. All the staff should strengthen their capability and skill, keep alert to risks, and be aware of new norms. The management level was required to have strong sense of responsibility, to be honest and upright, to be able to lead their team to overcome difficulties. The workers were encouraged to do their job with meticulosity and precise. All the efforts would lay a solid foundation to realize the company’s century dream.
      
Gao Xiangming, the General Manager of TISCO, asked all departments and plants to organize learning and implementation of the contents of national two sessions and this meeting. He said, according to the arrangement and deployment of TISCO two sessions held at the beginning of 2016, as well as the requirements of the undergoing campaign of “Risk, Confidence and Action”, every one of the company should strengthen the sense of crisis and awareness of hardship, at the same time, the confidence and determination to overcome challenges and embrace new development. He called for a united mind to conquer the hardness, to make up loss and regain profit, to strive for the sustained development of the company.
      
The vice general managers and above of the company, the principals of each subsidiary, plant and department, as well as all the managers at and above the deputy-director level in the company’s management headquarter attended the meeting.
