TISCO Stainless Steel Wins the Bidding of Qingshan Yangtze River Bridge Project

On March 28, TISCO received a bid-winning notice from Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge Project of China Railway Bridge Bureau, which decided to use TISCO stainless steel products for king-tower collar beam of Qingshan Yangtze River Bridge.

 

Wuhan Qingshan Yangtze River Bridge is one of the first 80 PPP (public private partnerships) demonstration projects promoted by the State Council, the bridge has bidirectional eight-lane highway with design speed of 100 kilometers. The bridge, the 11th but also the widest bridge over Yangtze River, is expected to be completed in 2019 with total length of 7548 meters, main span of 938 meters and bridge width of 47 meters.

 

“Overloading, super-wide bridge, large span are the main characteristics and technical difficulties of the bridge." said by related person from TISCO Marketing Department involved in the bidding, "The competitive negotiation announcement issued on February 26th by Bridge Bureau Project required strictly on quality standards, technical requirements, planned delivery time & delivery place and bidder qualifications. TISCO has finally won the bidding of stainless steel rebar for king-tower collar beam, stainless steel connecting sleeve and stainless steel wire products due to high degree of social honesty and excellence in quality."

In recent years, TISCO has successfully supplied high-end stainless steel rebar for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Brunei Temburong Cross-sea Bridge. Especially the successful supply for Brunei Temburong Cross-sea Bridge is the first time that TISCO independently researched and developed stainless steel rebar is used in abroad and entered international high-end building industry.
