TISCO Scored Grand Achievements in Intellectual Property Management

TISCO had 245 patent applications in 2015, topping Shanxi province once again after it had be on the position for years. The number of invention patent, which accounts for 54.3% of total, is for the first time over that of patent for utility models. The percentage of invention patent is increased by 7% from last year.

As sourced from TISCO Technology Center, invention patent has higher requirements in creative level than utility models patent. The number of utility models patent applied by TISCO had been always more than that of invention patent until 2015, when the conversion happened. Such a conversion indicates the remarkable improvement of the company’s capability and creativity.

In recent years, TISCO has called for the innovation concepts of “being pleased to see new things, being motivated by new ideas, and being the winner with new competitiveness” and the innovative atmosphere that “encourages innovation, accepts failure, and seeks excellence”. The company also launched various effective mechanisms to inspire the creativity and energy from its staff. In 2015, based on the comprehensively revised “Management Method of Patents”, the company issued a “Management Method of Proprietary Technology”, which was a starting point to the establishment of a “dual channel” management mode for the company’s patents and know-how. The issue of the “Management Method of Proprietary Technology” has further driven the employees’ creation and offered powerhouse to the progress of intellectual property management. A large number of technologies, processes and products with independent intellectual property rights have emerged as a reliable support to TISCO’s competitiveness and profit growth point.

During the period of “twelfth five-year-plan”, TISCO had more than 3,000 patent applications, among which 2,400 were approved by the State Intellectual Property Office. Over 70 patents got awards home and abroad. According to statistics, after putting into practice, these patents have created a considerable profit of approximately RMB 500 million Yuan.
