TISCO Releases Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2015

 

On June 26^th, Chinese Industry Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report Conference 2016 was held in Beijing national convention center with the theme of “Responsibility Leads Innovation, Management Promotes Development”, TISCO released its CSR report 2015 at the conference. LI Yi, Standing Committee Member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), deputy director of Economic Committee and chairman of China Federation of Industrial Economics attended the meeting; Adegboyega AJANI from Representative office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) made a speech. TISCO Deputy Party Secretary WANG Xinping received certificates of social responsibility on behalf of TISCO.

 

This is TISCO’s sixth CSR report since 2010. Beside the related social responsibility standards from United Nations Global Compact Organization, China Federation of Industrial Economics and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, this year the Report firstly referenced the national standard of GB/T36000-2015 social responsibility guide, comprehensively and systematically disclosing the 2015 annual performance and fulfillment of the company's responsibilities practices to the public. Titled as “Strengthen National Manufacture by Transformation and Upgrading of Steel Industry”, the report introduces the responsibilities practices TISCO has made on scientific research and innovation under the new normal of iron and steel industry, reflecting the responsibility and contribution TISCO has taken and made on development of China creation. The report explains TISCO’s practices and achievement in making the core business stronger and bigger, technological innovation, product R&D, energy saving and environmental protection, resource development and utilization, steel further processing, development of diversification, workforce development and contributions to the society in the aspects of social responsibility management, corporate governance, economy, environment and society.

 

In recent years, TISCO gradually establish a perfect social responsibilities management system and working mechanism, social responsibility construction level is continuously improved through constantly deepening the understanding and practice of social responsibility, and integrating the social responsibility management into enterprise development strategy, business process and operation management process. TISCO always insists on value creation with science and technology innovation to promote optimization and upgrading of variety structure by implementing high-quality goods strategy, and forms several green product clusters with property of high efficiency, energy saving and long life; TISCO has implemented a large number of advanced projects on energy conservation and emissions reduction, and formed a relatively complete circular economy industrial chain of solid, liquid and gaseous waste, is transforming from a receiver and beneficiary to a creator and exporter of high and new technology with green development; TISCO has speeded up to change the enterprise internal tiny circulation to overall circulation, realizing harmonious development with the city by efficient use of urban sewage and provide heat for the city gas source; TISCO adheres to the concept of harmonious co-construction and sharing of development achievements, continues to expand communication with relevant beneficiary parties in order to grow up and create value jointly, and wins wide respect from all walks of life.

 

This conference was sponsored by China Federation of Industrial Economy, 100 central enterprises, local key enterprises and outstanding private and foreign capital enterprises issued CSR reports. Nearly 400 people from government departments, relevant international organizations, national industry association (union), local worker union, industrial enterprises and news media attended the meeting.
