Luo Huining, the Secretary of Shanxi Provincial Committee of the CPC investigate

 

 

On July 7, Luo Huining, the Secretary of Shanxi Provincial Committee of the CPC,visited TISCO and had a survey on its reform progress and current operation. He emphasized that TISCO should carry out the new developing theory put forward by Xi jinping, the General Secretary of CPC, make the best use of the advantages and bypass the disadvantages, optimize the product mix on the base of scientific innovation, firmly improve the supply-side structural reform, enhance the innovation motive, speed up the transformation and upgrading, so as to make more contribution to the rising of Shanxi economy. Together with him, were the officials from provincial-level authorities as well as heads from Taiyuan city including Gao Jianming, Member of the Standing Committee of Shanxi Province and Executive Vice Governor; Wu Zhenglong, Member of the Standing Committee of Shanxi Province and Secretary of Taiyuan Municipal Committee; and Wang Weizhong, Member of the Standing Committee of Shanxi Province and Secretary-general of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee. Li Xiaobo, the Chairman and Secretary of CPC TISCO Committee, and Gao Xiangming, the General Manager TISCO, also took part in this survey.

 

Luo Huining took visits to the 4350 m3 BF, the stainless steel cold rolling line and the Technology Center to get the facts on the company’s operation, steel grades & quality, technical innovation and income of the workers. In iron making plant, Mr. Li Xiaobo introduced that the 4350 m3 blast furnace is one of the largest furnaces in China with the leading key technical indexes in product quality, operation cost and efficiency. And based on the technical innovation, TISCO had made full use of and completely recycled the water, dust, steam, heat and slag formed during the furnace operation. The company uses the pressure difference of the waste gas from the furnace to generate electric power, recovers the waste heat during the BF operation to supply the heat network of the city and processes the BF slag into the ultra fine powder that is used as one additive into the cement. Luo Huining nodded, praised and urged TISCO to further enhance the operation management, improve the technical progress and achieve a high-quality, high-efficient production.

 

Then, Luo Huinig went to the stainless steel cold rolling line to get knowledge on the product quality, market development, production efficiency, and etc. After being told that TISCO had made up the deficits and began to turn out a profit, Luo Huining confirmed fully the measures and remedy activities taken by TISCO against difficulties. Luo Huining shook hands with workers one by one inside the control room and gave greetings to them. When he met Niu Guodong, a representative of the 18th National Congress of CPC and winner of May Day Labor Medal, Luo Huining said affectionately: “we shall learn from you. I hope you can act as a role model of a party member to lead the workers to make a better achievement.” Inside the quality examining room, Li Xiaobo said that TISCO quality is guaranteed and trusted by customers since every batch of products are well recorded and traceable. Luo Huining was pleased to say: “ It’s really good.” He encouraged the workers to fulfill the duties and operate carefully to make the safe production and steady product quality under control. He pointed out that TISCO shall keep the leadership and competition in stainless steel industry, attract more investments from downstream companies outside of Shanxi, make stronger the stainless steel production group and prosper stainless steel industry.

 

In TISCO Technology Center, Luo Huining went aroud the technical innovation hall. When he saw the award of “ Model Unit of Verdurization in China ”, he said happily: “ I worked once in steel industry and I know how hard to win this award. It’s quite remarkabe that TISCO’s green coverage rate reaches 40%. I expect you to make further effort and continuously carry out your green development. ” Luo Huining collected in detail the information on how TISCO improve itslef on competitive products, scientific innovation, talent team construction, new product research and so on. He emphasized that TISCO shall make full use of the advantages on equipment and scientific research, optimize further the product structure, strengthen the research on cutting-edge steel grades, make many more unique and hit products, improve market coverage and product competitiveness, build up innovation platforms, cultivate and make good use of talents, so as to prosper the company.

 

At the end of his tour, Luo Huining stated the visit to TISCO was an cordial experience. He said that TISCO is a modern large iron and steel enterprise with the first-class product developing ability and first-class equipment. “In my deep heart, I am proud of TISCO workers. TISCO is on a good way of development. Hopefully, TISCO will make best use of the advantages and bypass the disadvantages, optimize the product structure based on scientific innovation, speed up supply-side structural reform, promote transformation and upgrading, and make more contribution to the rejuvenation of Shanxi economy.” he added.
