TISCO is Listed as One of China’s Top 500 Enterprises
China’s Top 500 Enterprises Summit 2016 sponsored by China Enterprise Union and China Entrepreneur Association was held in Changsha, Hunan Province recently. The list of China’s Top 500 Enterprises and the list of China’s Top 500 Manufacturer in 2016 were released. TISCO ranks No.160 and No. 68 separately in the two lists. Besides, TISCO tops the list of Shanxi enterprises.
During the past years, firmly aimed at the strategic target, TISCO won the unique competitive advantages in resources, technology, equipment, steel grade, green development and employee team based on the principle of making major business stronger as well as executing extensional, diversified, green and harmonious development strategy. Faced with the great trend of industrial transformation and upgrading, TISCO improved its competitiveness by continuous innovation, built up the innovation platforms of “operation, study, research and application”, developed a group of new products of high technology, high difficulty and high add-value which were widely used on national projects and high-tech fields such as high speed train shafts, cross-sea bridges and Long Match Rocket 7. Scientific innovation has been a breakthrough for TISCO to carry out supply-side structural reform and to win the market. Despite the year-on-year decline in steel production, TISCO group made a profit of 47.8 billion yuan from January to August this year.
2016 is the 15th consecutive year since the first list of Top 500 Chinese Enterprises was released in 2002. The list honestly recorded and witnessed the historical development of big Chinese enterprises since the new century, and therefore is considered as the barometer of China’s economy and a vivid specimen on the study of big Chinese enterprises. The total operation income of the China’s Top 500 Enterprises in 2016 amounts up to RMB 60 trillions yuan, 2.4 % more than last year, 10 times as that of 15 years before and equivalent to 79.9% of that of America’s Top 500 Enterprises.
