Stainless steel trade friction warning point set up in TISCO

Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) approved the establishment of stainless steel trade friction warning point in TISCO. TISCO became the only approved enterprise in China's steel industry.

 

In recent years, the global sluggish demand for crude steel and steel overcapacity contradiction intensified the rise of various forms of trade protectionism, and the international competition is more intense and complex, iron and steel international trade friction is more acute. In 2016, China suffered 117 anti-dumping and countervailing investigations from different countries, among which 49 were iron and steel, accounting for 42%. The steel industry has become the "hardest hit" in the trade remedy investigation. It is expected that China's steel exports will suffer more difficulties in 2017.

 

CCPIT is a national foreign trade and investment promotion agency. In 2015, a trade frictional response early warning work was officially launched to form a working system for government, industry organizations, lawyers and enterprises to coordinate each other. Currently, 102 economic and trade friction early warning agencies have been set up in the country, covering major provinces and cities and key industries, establishing a more complete economic and trade friction early warning system, play a role of delivering warning information, organizing enterprises to participate in case response, organizing publicity and consultation and other important roles.

 

TISCO, as a global leader in the stainless steel industry, on behalf of the industry, in response to foreign trade relief survey, playing a leading role. TISCO has reached good results of no damage or zero tax rate in the cases to EU, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and other countries and regions.

 

Under the guidance of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stainless steel trade friction warning point will further strengthen the early warning information release, country policy research and training to enterprises in response to trade friction, help the domestic stainless steel enterprises to be more specialized and refined to cope with economic and trade friction warning work, and form a concerted effort to deal with foreign trade protectionism.
