Faithfully follow new concept of “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains” ---written on the “World Environment Day” 2017

Today is the “World Environment Day”. Setting the theme of the day as “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, the government aims to mobilize and lead all sectors of society to firmly build strong awareness of “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, to respect the nature, to confirm to nature, to protect the nature, to advocate and practice green style of living and working and to jointly build up a beautiful China.

 

The scientific conclusion drawn by CCP general secretary Xi Jinping that “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, profoundly reveals the essential relationship between the development and protection, lets us know deeply that environmental protection shows great potential and also boosts the social and economic development and that the transfer from ecological advantages to social and economic development can continuously bring us golden and the silver mountains from the green mountains and clean rivers.

 

Since the 18^th National Congress of Chinese Communist Party, the Party Central Committee and the State Council paid high attention on ecological civilization construction and environmental protection, put the ecological civilization construction into the list of general “Five-in-one” layout, set up five development ideas of “innovation, harmony, green, open, share”, took a series of actions to stably improve the environment. However, in general, China’s ecological civilization construction and environmental protection still lag behind the social and economic development; there is still a big gap between the ecological environment and the expectation of the common people.

 

To faithfully follow new concept of “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, the company shall take the big social responsibility and an outstanding leadership. For many years, TISCO has been keeping the green development as the preliminary condition of the company’s existence and development. TISCO realized the importance earlier, took actions more quickly, put more investment and achieved a good result. TISCO enhanced green manufacturing, supplied green products, developed green industry, led green consumption and widely respected by all walks of life as a model of green development of steel industry. TICSO will keep green development for ever and faithfully perform the duty of environmental protection. Facing the public concern of environmental protection, we will firmly follow the concept of “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, keep green development as TISCO’s new competitiveness and profit growth point, unswervingly speed up upgrading the green development, improve green development, cyclic development and low-carbon development more intuitively and carefully cultivate the ecological civilization advantage.

 

We will carefully rectify and reform the problems listed by the environmental protection inspection team from Beijing, draw inferences, strictly implement the duties of environmental protection, be a model to follow the laws and regulations on environmental protection, accept the supervision and examination more intuitively and correct the key and difficult problems immediately.

 

We will invest more on environmental protection and try all our efforts to raise the money to remedy the shortages of environmental protection measures, increase our ability of environmental protection, make a more complete industry chain of recycle economics on solid, liquid and gaseous materials, build up an international first class steel company with energy-saving and environmental friendship and find out a new way of recycle economics, energy saving and emission reduction for the steel industry.

 

We will seize the opportunity of supply-side reform, improve our ability of scientific innovation, try all our best to increase product varieties, improve product quality and create product brands to keep improving the supply of green products and to help upgrading of “made-in-China” products.

 

When we improve our environmental protection, we will also enhance the energy saving, emission reduction and industrial output of advanced recycle technology, make green industry stronger and bigger, speed up the change from small circulation inside the company to big circulation of the society and benefit the whole society with green development achievement.

 

The environment is critical to human living, the happiness lies in the green mountains and blue sky. We will carefully study and implement the series of new ideas, new concepts, new strategies and new requirements put forward by CCP general secretary Xi Jinping on ecological civilization construction and environmental protection, faithfully follow new concept of “green mountains and clean rivers are the golden and the silver mountains”, take our responsibilities to protect the environment, increase continuously the green development and make due contribution to build up a beautiful China.
