TISCO’s CSR Report of 2016 Rated as “Five-Star”

According to the news of TISCO Group on July 5, TISCO’s CSR report of 2016 has rated as “Five-Star” at 2017 CSR Report Release Conference of China Industrial Sectors, with the conference theme of the responsible “Made in China”, which manifests the state-owned enterprise’s power in fulfilling its social responsibility.

 

TISCO’s CSR report of 2016 is the 7^th social responsibility report since 2010. The Report was prepared according to related social responsibility standards of the UNGC, China Federation of Industrial Economics and Chinese Academy of Social Science, and disclosed corporate practices and performances in fulfilling its responsibility to the public overall and systematically. With “transformation and upgrading for development, improving quality and efficiency for revitalization”as its subject, the Report introduced how TISCO conquered the “question on ballpoint pen” in the new normal of steel industry to develop successfully pen tip steel and how TISCO performed its responsibility in targeting at supply side structural reform to promote “inventive, originative and first-applied ” products, which fully demonstrates TISCO’s undertaking in forging national steel brand and contributing the “Made in China”.

 

For recent years, TISCO has been insisting on producing high-quality, high-tech and special steel products, which was considered the most essential element in fulfilling its social responsibility; it has been pushing forward technological innovation and new product development, playing an active part in the process of localization of key steel material. Targeting at building global steel plant model, it has been speeding up circular economy industry chain of solid, liquid and gas wastes, particularly leading industrial development in sewage treatment, slag disposal, waste energy (heat) utilization and etc., which boosted the harmonies between enterprise and city, nature and society. Insisting on co-building harmonious enterprise and sharing developing fruit, TISCO has been focusing on safety in production, interests and right protection, industry chain and supply chain establishment and etc. and under the supervision by staff and the public to promote joint growing of enterprise and staff, clients and suppliers. All of the efforts from TISCO have shaped a responsible social citizen image of integrity, law-abiding and justice, and won intensive praise and respect.

 

The conference was hosted by China Federation of Industrial Economics and 99 enterprises launched CSR reports, including central enterprises, local key enterprises, excellent private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises. The release conferences have held for nine times in a row since 2009, where 650 enterprise-times in total from different industries and regions launched social responsibility reports.
