TISCO’s four scientific and technological achievements win the 2017 Metallurgical Science and Technology Award

Recently, 2017 Metallurgical Science and Technology Award results announced by China Iron and Steel Industry Association, Chinese Society of Metals. TISCO’s four achievements got the awards, in which the achievement "ultra-pure stainless steel deoxidation and inclusions control key technology development and application" won the first prize.

 

This year a total of 78 projects were honored the Metallurgical Science and Technology award, in which, special award 1, first prize 15, second prize 22, third prize 40. In addition to the project of the first prize, three other projects TISCO reported: "new technology development and application based on scanning electron microscopy microstructure characterization" won the second prize; "TISCO use a large proportion of small-size coke and some poor quality raw fuel to achieve high coal ratio stable operation technology "and" the industrial enterprises demand side comprehensive management information system" won the third prize. In addition, applied by Central Iron and Steel Research Institute, and completed by TISCO as one of the backbone units, the project "steel material basic theoretical research and high-performance steel technology based on the M3 organization regulating and controlling" won the first prize.

 

In recent years, TISCO vigorously implements the innovation-driven strategy, and actively promotes the innovative ideas of "pleased to know the new things, act by the new things, win by new things", and innovative culture of "encourage innovation, tolerate failure, oppose conservativism", to carry out SBU (strategy business unit), chief engineers, product engineers and other models. Through the establishment of technological innovation strategic alliance with domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutes, TISCO actively strengthens technical exchanges with domestic and foreign counterparts, a group of stainless steel-based special steel production process, technology, grades, raw materials and other key technologies continue to make breakthrough.

 

The first prize of the project "ultra-pure stainless steel deoxidation and inclusions control key technology development and application", through the "production,study and research" model independently developed a set of refining technology, formed three patented technologies, and more than ten enterprise technology secrets. The development and application of the technology, makes TISCO stainless steel products widely applied in the high-end decoration, automotive exhaust system, strong corrosive environment and nuclear power and other fields, physical quality reached the international advanced level. The implementation of the project has solved the bottleneck restricting the development of high-end stainless steel products in China, and has broken the passive situation that China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry urgently needing high-performance stainless steel has to long time rely on imports. It is of great strategic significance to the rapid development of China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
