"ITER" is the abbreviation of "International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor", which is the multilateral major scientific international cooperation project, second to the International Space Station. The project is jointly invested and developed by seven major nuclear countries and regions in the world, such as China, EU, Japan, Korea, Russia, the United States and India. "ITER" produced energy by the principle similar to the sun, it is also known as "artificial sun". Because it produces huge energy through ultra-high temperature conditions of nuclear fusion reaction, the core temperature can be up to hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius, therefore the demand to construction materials is extremely high. As an important special steel production base in China and the world's largest stainless steel supplier, TISCO actively participates in special stainless steel materials research, development and manufacturing for the "artificial sun". In view of the harsh requirements of the project materials, TISCO makes all-round preparation in aspects of the technology, equipment, manufacturing, testing, warranty and other. According to TISCO military and nuclear power product development business department, "ITER" project procurement is divided into four stages: pre-research development, international certification, small batch procurement and bulk purchase. Since its participation in the ITER program in 2007, TISCO has developed stainless steel high-tech products for the "ITER" program, including outer-square and inner-round profile tube, seamless pipe, welded pipe, L-shaped steel, U-shaped steel, rectangular steel, forgings, cold rolling plate, hot-rolled plate, composite board, a total of 10 categories. In 2012, TISCO sheet for the first time passed international certification for the magnet gravity support in the "ITER" support (SUPPORT) procurement package; in 2013, TISCO successfully developed large-thickness (20 + 90) mm oxygen-free copper + stainless steel composite boards for "ITER" program, which has reached the international leading level; in 2016, TISCO supplied tailored series products of nitrogen-containing stainless steel plate and extruded profile for coil box in "ITER" correction field (CC) procurement package, which got very high appraisal by experts from "ITER" international organizations, Europe Nuclear Research Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the achievement published its papers at and was introduced by the International Fusion Technology Conference (SOFT 2016); in 2017, the largest amount of stainless steel feeder (FEEDER) procurement package of "ITER" China procurement package began into the bulk purchase phase ...
