State Stainless Steel Forum for Food Industry held in TISCO

2017 State Stainless Steel Forum for Food Industry, jointly hosted by China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association (CFPMA) and Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (STSS) was held in the conference center of the Garden International Hotel on August 25^th and 26^th. The meeting was attended by Chu Yufeng, the chairman of CFPMA; Guo Jianfa, deputy director of Standing Committee of Taiyuan NPC and director of management committee of Taiyuan Stainless Steel Industrial Park; Zhang Zhifang, the Chairman of the board of STSS; and Gao Jianbing, general manager of STSS.

 

This annual meeting is themed with “safety of stainless steel for food industry during the global urbanization”. International bodies, government monitoring departments, industry experts, representatives from well-known enterprises, experts in various fields from colleges and research institutes were invited to attend the meeting. Hot issues like regulations on stainless steel material in EU, US and China, good manufacturing practices, risk monitoring, safety assessment and technical innovation under compliance premise were discussed; and roundtable dialogue was conducted with regard to authorities’ supervision roles and enterprises’ technical innovations.

 

In his address, Chu Yufeng said that stainless steel is widely used among food contact materials by virtue of its corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and workability. The forum was held in accordance with the principle of being scientific, guiding and forward-looking. He expected contents like opportunities and challenges; latest laws and regulations as well as according strategies regarding stainless steel application in global food industry shall be discussed and analyzed, so as to promote sustainable development of China’s stainless steel industry for food service.

 

Gao Jianbing stressed in his speech that food safety has become a global concern along with further industrialization and urbanization. And stainless steel for food industry is closely eyed on as it involves in food processing, food packaging and other aspects. Relying on advanced production equipment and process technology, TISCO, who has always committed itself to R&D and promotion of related products, provides powerful support to food machinery industry in terms of material transformation and upgrading. The company is always willing to strengthen cooperation with relevant upstream and downstream companies, to innovate in each link of production, research, application and management, and to promote continuously the R&D and application for food grade stainless steel.

 

The relevant responsible persons from Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprises Association as well as the National Health and Family Planning Commission also delivered speeches at the meeting.
