CISA holds annual conference at TISCO

The Enterprise Reform and Administration Committee of CISA (China Iron & Steel Association) held its annual conference & re-election meeting at TISCO on November 14. Gu Jianguo, the standing vice chairman of CISA; Li Xiaobo, the head of ERAC, the secretary of TISCO’s communist party committee and the chairman of the board of the company; and Wang Lixin, the chief economist of TISCO, attended the meeting.

 

The meeting was presided over by CISA’S vice general secretary Wang Dechun.

 

The 3^rd term leading members of the ERAC, with Li Xiaobo still the director and Wang Dechun the vice director, were elected during the meeting.

 

Gu Jianguo delivered a speech on behalf of CISA. He stated, the lately closed 19^th National Congress of Communist Party of China had pointed out the development direction for the state as well as for the steel industry of the nation. The steel sector had followed the deployment of China’s central government to deeply push forward the supply-side structural reform and to actively eliminate over-capacity, so as to get the market obviously-improved, steel price reasonable and steel companies profitable. All those actions had paved a solid foundation for the transformation and upgrade of steel industry. Gu called for concrete effort for the stable and sound growth of the industry in the next year. He set a high value on TISCO’s practice and asked other meeting participants to learn from TISCO, so as to prosper the industry.

 

Li Xiaobo gave a work report on behalf of 2^nd term of ERAC. In his report of “Following out the spirit of 19^th National Congress of CPC, advancing the reform and innovation among steel companies, and promoting development of China’s steel industry under new era”, Li figured out that, Chinese economy had transformed from high-speed growth to high-quality development. Under such a critical phase where development mode transforms, economy structure optimizes, and growth drives changes, it is vital to set up a modern economy system for realization of the nation’s strategic target. Therefore, the steel industry should unified minds and actions to comply with the decisions and deployments of our central government; we should take the spirit of 19^th National Congress of CPC as a guideline to deepen the enterprise reform and innovate company management; we should concentrate our vigor to solve problems that hinder the transformational upgrade and innovational development of steel industry; we should spare no effort to promote the high-quality growth of steel sector to meet the demands of the nation’s new mode development. Li stressed the importance of learning the spirit of 19^th National Congress of CPC, which will guide the continuous proceedings of supply-side reform and boost the high-quality growth of steel industry of China, and called for arduous endeavors to realize the Chinese Dream.

 

Representatives from TISCO, BAOWU, Nanjing Steel, JISCO, and Hebei Steel exchanged ideas on enterprise reform and management innovation during the meeting.
