New Year’s Address

 

With the bell of the New Year rings, we are enjoying the fruitful achievements in 2017 and greeting the beauty and hope of 2018. At this sweet moment, we would like to extend our New Year wishes and best regards to all of you and your family.

 

In the past year, General Secretary Xi Jinping and Primier Li Keqiang made investigation tours in TISCO successively which had greatly boosted the moral of staff and firmed the confidence of company's reform. Provincial Secretary Luo Huining, Provincial Governor Lou Yangsheng and other provincial officers also paid high attention and gave great supports to TISCO for it to become better and stronger.

 

Over the past year, closely uniting around the central party committee with comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the company conscientiously studied and implemented the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jjinping and the spirit of the 19th NCCPC. We have, standing fast on our original will and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the company, improved the market competitiveness and functional quality significantly. It is estimated that in the year of 2017, the company produced 10.50 million tons of steel in total, of which 4.13 million tons stainless steel with 1 million tons were exported, and made revenue of RMB 81 billion Yuan with tax of RMB 3.7 billion Yuan and profit of RMB 4.3 billion Yuan, hitting the best performance in nearly a decade.

 

In the past year, we insisted on the leadership of the party, strengthened party construction and created a sound environment for entrepreneurial development. We comprehensively deepened the reforms, enhanced and stimulated staff’s vitality and improved the operating efficiency. We improved the supply level and ability with a large number of star products such as high-end carbon fiber, steel for pen nibs, duplex steel for the world's largest stainless steel chemicals carrier, high grade silicon steel for new energy car in ways of actively adapting us to the trend of structural reform on supply side and seizing the opportunities brought by “one belt one road” and “made in China 2025” strategy. We strived to upgrade green development, solved major environmental problems and won the battle for defense of blue sky. We tried our best to improve the livelihood of the people and constantly improved the worker's sense of gain and happiness.

 

Right here we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and great respect to all staff and their family members, to the party committees and governments at all levels, and to customers and all sectors of society for their concern and support on TISCO development.

 

The year of 2018 is crucial for TISCO’s transformation and upgrading. We will follow the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jjinping and the spirit of the 19th NCCPC and  focus on the three major goals of Shanxi Province: "Demonstration area of resource-based economy transformation", "Pioneer of energy revolutionary" and “new heights for inland to open to the outside world". We will, through reform and innovation on quality, efficiency and energy conversion, deepen the strategic layout of "strengthening main business with extension development, diversified development, green development and harmonious development" to build TISCO a worldwide first-class enterprise with global competitiveness and lead TISCO into a new era of high quality development.

 

In the New Year, we're going to do business under the guide of socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jjinping and the spirit of the 19th NCCPC. We will make efforts to learn and implement the spirit of the 19th NCCPC and take it as a primary political task in current and future. We will firm the confidence on our strategy, culture, team and ability to develop a new chapter on TISCO development in the new era.

 

In the New Year, we will comprehensively promote reform of quality. For this purpose, we should continuously strengthen our main business with optimizing space layout of the stainless steel industry and enhance the competitiveness of all steel industry chain to further strengthen the dominant right and leadership in the industry. We should vigorously develop new industries represented by high-end carbon fiber and microcrystalline vitrification building material, actively apply the new mode like integration of industry and finance and "Internet plus" to promote the company net business and transboundary development. We should speed up the all-round green transformation and upgrade green development, to brighten the company image by green low carbon products and services.

 

In the New Year, we will promote the efficiency with all our strength. Therefore, we should speed up upgrading and integration of intelligentization and digitization to build “wisdom TISCO". We should ensure the company can be running more easily and with fewer burdens by means of management innovation, business processes optimization, redundant links simplification and social functions separation. We should develop new industrial type and rearrange surplus labor force to create new competitive advantage. We should govern the enterprise severely based on the law and effectively prevent business risks by deleverage, de-stocking and cutting cost. We should perfect the corporate governance structure, strengthen the leadership of the party during deepening reform and make party organizations at all levels the core strength of development.

 

In the New Year, we will accelerate power conversion. Thus we should accelerate the construction of innovation system and comprehensively strengthen scientific and technological innovation ability. We should carry forward institutional mechanism reform mainly on mixed ownership, contract management and employee stock ownership and strengthen the positive incentives to fully mobilize and stimulate whole value management. We should create methods and opportunities for staff to grow up to be science and technology talents, management talents and skilled craftsman by improving professional skills and increasing personal engagement of staff as well as under Li Shuangliang spirit and craftsmanship spirit. We should improve life quality of staff and benefit them with new achievements we got from reform and development.

 

New era and new mission just await us, let’s make aim high and work much harder with our spirits and responsibilities to worth this beautiful new age. Let’s stride ahead to the new stage of high quality development and strive to realize the “Century Dream of TISCO”!
